Each year we honor an outstanding judge or lawyer who has made a significant contribution to the Hispanic legal community. The award is named in commemoration of Graciela Olivarez, the first femail and first Hispanic graduate of Notre Dame Law School
This year, we present the award to Thomas. A. Saenz, President and General Counsel of the Mexican American Legal Defense Education Fund (MALDEF).
