Around the Watercooler

  • The Religious Liberty Initiative’s communications specialist, Arienne Calingo spoke at the 2023 Alumni of Color Conference at the Harvard Graduate School of Education on Saturday. Drawing on the conference theme of healing and authenticity, the title of her presentation was, "Building Bayanihan: Dismantling Anti-Black Consciousness in the Philippines." Arienne spoke about the relationship between Filipinos and Black Americans, and the need to build solidarity between the two communities.
