Collection in Law
Francis M. Gregory Jr. was a partner in the Washington, D.C., law firm of Sutherland, Asbill and Brennan. A 1966 graduate of the Notre Dame Law School, Frank received a bachelor of science degree from St. Louis University in 1963. A former chair of the Notre Dame Law School Advisory Council, he served on the council from 1983 until his death in 1993. His wife, Joan (“Cookie”), graduated from Marymount Manhattan College and lives in Virginia. The Gregorys have two children, Francis M. III and Lauren Sue.
The Francis M. Gregory Jr. Collection in Law is an extremely important resource used by the Kresge Law Library to purchase special materials of significant value to the collection. As the Law School’s faculty and student research interests expand into new areas, the Law Library must respond by providing the appropriate legal research materials. The Gregory Endowment assists greatly in providing the necessary funds to support research in new and emerging fields of legal study.
