Abstract
The article discusses the opposing views of the Catholic Health Association and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops on the Patient Protection and Affordability Care Act as the law promotes governmental cooperation with abortion. With issues such as abortion, contraception, or same-sex marriage being framed in human rights language, the existence of Catholic institutions is threatened. Reflections on issue could have benefited the legislation and the public.
