  • Sam Bray, along with William Baude of the University of Chicago, filled an amicus brief in the Supreme Court last week in a case about President Joe Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan. Although they call the plan “unlawful,” they urge the Supreme Court to reject the legal challenges that have been brought against it.
  • Jay Tidmarsh examines how corporations use jurisdictional rules to gain power in his review of the Michigan Law Review article, “The Oligarchic Courthouse: Jurisdiction, Corporate Power, and Democratic Decline.”
  • Nicole Garnett writes, "Supreme Court Opens a Path to Religious Charter Schools" for Education Next.
  • The Religious Liberty Clinic was highlighted in an AALS survey for its strong commitment to pro bono work.
  • Nicole Garnett and Rick Garnett are both editors of a new book, "The Case for Parental Choice," authored by Jack Coons.
  • Mary Ellen O'Connell was quoted in the South Bend Tribune article, "South Bend plans to sue Dave Matthews over delayed downtown South Bend grocery store."
  • Carter Snead will moderate a panel, "Building a Civilization of Love," on January 19 at the National Press Club as part of the ND Ethics Center Women and Children's Initiative.
  • The Religious Liberty Clinic filed an amicus brief in November defending a Muslim man who was denied permission to engage in congregate religious worship and prayer outside of his jail cell.
