Navajo Nation, a case in which the Supreme Court determined that the 1868 Treaty of Bosque Redondo did not require the federal government to take affirmative steps to secure water for the Navajo Nation.

  • Rick Garnett wrote for Law and Liberty on the Supreme Court’s 9-0 decision in Groff v. DeJoy, which clarified that employers should accommodate religious requests unless doing so would result in “substantial increased costs.”

  • Alumni and students in the Los Angeles area gathered in June for a Notre Dame Lawyers social and networking event. Thanks to David and Hon. Barbara Scheper, members of ND Law’s Class of 1985, for hosting the event!
  • The Notre Dame Lawyers social and networking event in Indianapolis was hosted by alumni Nancy and Mark Gargula. Guests included Judge Elizabeth Tavitas ’85, ’90 J.D. of the Indiana Court of Appeals and former Chief Justice of the Indiana Supreme Court Randall T. Shepard.
