- Paul Miller was cited in an important dissenting opinion by Justices Gordon, Edelman, and Steward of the High Court of Australia for his work on fiduciary obligations.
- This week, A.J. Bellia will speak on the legal implications of Erie Railroad Co. v. Tompkins at the Center for the Constitution and Catholic Intellectual Tradition at Catholic University.
- Jimmy Gurulé spoke in front of the Indiana Senate Corrections and Criminal Law Committee about Senate Bill 141, which would provide stricter requirements for eyewitness accounts and regulations for AI facial recognition technology to reduce the potential for eyewitness misidentification of criminal suspects.
- Last week, Sam Bray provided commentary on a paper presentation on "Finding jurisdiction in due process" at the Georgetown Center for the Constitution.

- Over the weekend, Paolo Carozza and Carter Snead spoke at New York Encounter, where they discussed the corporal dimension of human identity in an age of virtual reality. The talk was also featured in Catholic News Agency.
- Mark Hill was invited to address the IRF Summit in Washington, DC earlier this month. He contributed to a panel on "Engaging with international institutions," with Professor Knox Thames of Pepperdine University and representatives of the Office of the Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs, making reference to work with the UN High Commission for Human Rights in Geneva and in Nepal.
- Derek Muller was quoted by ABC in an article about the possibility of President Trump seeking a third term.
- Mary Ellen O'Connell was quoted in The Observer about the future of Ukraine.
- Ed Edmonds wrote a chapter on a recently published book, Attorneys in the baseball hall of fame.
- Avishalom Tor's edited volume (together with Klaus Mathis of the University of Lucerne), Law and Economics of Corporate Governance: Shareholders, Stakeholders, and Beyond was published. It is volume 19 in the series Economic Analysis of Law in European Legal Scholarship.
- Haley Proctor wrote for the Yale Journal on Regulation's Notice & Comment blog in memoriam of Professor Henry P. Monaghan.
- Rick Garnett was mentioned in the Idaho Statesman about President Trump's executive order to ban anti-Christian bias in government.
- Jeff Pojanowski published a new article on SSRN, "Faces of formalism".
- Paolo Carozza's presentation on "The dignity of human life in the digital age" in the Mendoza College of Business was featured in The Observer.
- The 2025 Private Law Workshop kicked off with its first speaker, Professor Roy Shapira of Reichman University, who presented his paper "Regulation by rivals." This spring, the workshop will bring seven eminent scholars to present work in progress.

- Inaugural Charles E. Rice Chair lecture, delivered by O. Carter Snead, 4:00 p.m. at the Eck Visitors Center. Reception to follow. Carter Snead, the Charles E. Rice Professor of Law, will deliver the lecture and explore how presuppositions about human identity and flourishing affect the governance of science, medicine, and biotechnology. The lecture will draw upon his book, What It Means to be Human: The Case for the Body in Public Bioethics

There will be a pause at 1:30 p.m. to allow for those who need to leave early.
- Chicago-Kent Law Review Online Live Symposium The topic of the 2025 Symposium is "In Search of Common Ground: Religion and Secularism in a Liberal Democratic Society." Registration is required to attend the symposium online. Rick Garnett will be one of the panelists.
