On behalf of the Africa Working Group at the Kellogg Institute for International Studies, and in partnership with the Klau Institute for Civil and Human Rights, please join us for a thought-provoking keynote lecture by Dr. Robert Eno, Distinguished Jurist in Residence at Notre Dame Law School and Registrar of the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights. Dr. Eno will shed light on the African Union’s evolving role in promoting human rights and democratic governance across the continent—highlighting both the progress and the challenges that define this critical moment in Africa’s political landscape.
The discussion will be moderated by Portia Ozioma Chigbu, Juridical Science Doctor (J.S.D.) Candidate at Notre Dame Law School and Kellogg Institute PhD Fellow, whose research focuses on disasters, human rights, and victim protection in Nigeria. The event will be in the Hesburgh Center Auditorium on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 4 pm to 5 pm followed by a brief reception. If you wish to join online, please register via QR code.
