Description
Friday, April 10, 2026 | 10:00 AM | Eck Hall of Law, McCartan Courtroom
You are all invited to join us in the McCartan Courtroom on Friday, April 10 for The Notre Dame Journal of International & Comparative Law's Volume 16 Symposium: "Sentencing Across Borders: Debating Justice and Disparity." Lunch will be served, and there will be a reception following closing remarks.
Our panels will discuss race and disparity in U.S. sentencing law, sentencing reform, international criminal sentencing, and feature a fireside chat with Professors Meghan Sacks and Amy Shlosberg, co-hosts of the Women & Crime and Direct Appeal podcasts.
We look forward to a day full of insightful dialogue, engaging debate, and an opportunity to reflect on the universal principles of equity and human dignity we hope will one day be present in every legal system.
