Some Remarks about the Method of Comparative Legal History
Summary:
This presentation discusses the importance of comparative legal history as a methodology in comparative legal research. In so doing, it makes a case for overcoming the orthodox synchronic comparatist model. Instead, it proposes moving towards a model of functionalism which pays due regard to the historical dimension of the legal phenomenon.
The presentation will take place on April 8, 2026, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm, in 1315 Biolchini.
