Join the International and Graduate Programs and the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies on Wednesday, September 23 at 12:30 p.m. for a fireside chat exploring the development and current state of Indigenous language rights around the world.
The guest speakers will draw on their expertise across a range of disciplines including law, policy development, and anthropology in order to provide an overview of the development and current state of indigenous language rights around the world, with particular focus on continuing efforts across Ireland, and any potential unification of the island, as case examples.
The discussion will feature:
- Professor Frederick Mostert, Adjunct Professor of Practice, Notre Dame Law School; Professor of Practice, King’s College London
- Professor Rahul Oka, Research Associate Professor of Global Affairs and Anthropology, Keough School of Global Affairs; Faculty Fellow, Kellogg Institute for International Studies
- Dr. Róisín Costello, Assistant Professor of EU and International Law, Trinity College Dublin; Global Visiting Associate Professor of Law, Notre Dame Law School
