Wednesday (2.28.18)
Room 1130 Eck Hall of Law, 12:30pm
Film screening of Alone along with a trio of animated short films that tell the first-hand stories of three people who have been incarcerated: Lavette Mayes, Jason Hernandez, and Johnny Perez. The event will be held at the Civil Rights Heritage Center, and followed by a brief discussion on the widespread effect of mass incarceration. Snacks will be served. The Exoneration Project presents, "Hard Time, Hard Lessons Learned – A Journey with Faith, Family and Friends" an event where a couple shares their story of conviction, incarceration, and reentry into society. JW Chens will be served.

Panel on immigration and experiences featuring Libertad Heredia, Gargi Purohit, and Veronica Canton followed by a brief discussion on the intersectionality of detainment and imprisonment. Pizza will be served.
