It's Official!
Katelynn McBride got engaged to Vince Barbosa! It was Katelynn's 30th birthday and Vince surprised her by proposing at the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park in Vancouver while they were visiting on vacation. Katelynn saw the box and then the gorgeous ruby engagement ring inside. Vince said in his laid back way "wanna get married?"
It's safe to say, Vince got the girl!
Welcome Christine!
Christine Reimers joined the law library staff as a Digital Resources and Metadata Library Specialist on June 16, 2016. Her office is located in 2363 Biolchini. If the name sounds familiar, that is because Joe Reimers is her husband. Joe left the law library in the spring to take a job with Innovative Interfaces.
Staff Spotlight - Ian Secviar
Welcome to Ian, he joined NDLS as "the new Patti" earlier in the summer.
(His actual title is Associate Director, Law Annual Giving.)
- Favorite food: I can always go for a good hamburger. I'm excited to try the Smashburger in LaFortune once it opens.
- Song stuck in my head right now: Break My Stride by Matthew Wilder
- Favorite Place in South Bend: Macri's Bakery; I have quite a sweet tooth.
- If I could travel anywhere right now, I'd go to Italy. I've never been, and I was an Italian minor!
- Thing that annoys you most: Slow walkers, especially in packs.
- Unique trait: I love live music! I've been to three festivals this summer and I have tickets to see Wilco this month and Andrew Bird next month. Also, my fiance is taking me to see Hamilton in December.
