  • Avishalom Tor has published a peer-reviewed article, “If You Can’t Beat Them, Join Them: Richard Posner and Behavioral Law and Economics,” 31 History of Economic Ideas 67 (2023) (with Doron Teichman and Eyal Zamir).
  • Derek Muller was quoted by ABC News, The Guardian, the Washington Examiner, News Nation, Benzinga, and The Hill about various legal questions concerning ballots and upcoming elections.
  • Lloyd Mayer will participate in the Nonprofits Conference at Columbia Law School tomorrow, where he will be a discussant for John Witt's work, Taxing Garland's Million.
  • Emily Bremer presented a paper on APA vacatur and spoke on a panel on Jarkesy and agency adjudication at the 2024 Spring Administrative Law Conference in Washington, DC.
  • Sam Bray presented a chapter on James Ussher (15811656) at Kylemore Abbey as part of a conference on Christian jurists in Irish history.
  • Paolo Carozza gave a talk on "The Meta Oversight Board, the Self-Regulation of Social Media Companies, and the Challenges of Systemic Risks" at Magdalen College, Oxford, as part of a workshop on "Social Media Corporations: Risks, Rights, and Responsibilities."
  • Nicole Garnett filed an amicus brief with Ilya Shapiro and Notre Dame Law School alumnus Tim Rosenberger for Hile v. Michigan.
  • Carter Snead was featured in an article celebrating the end of his tenure as the Director of the de Nicola Center for Ethics and Culture.
  • Yan Yu was elected vice chair/chair elect of the American Association of Law Libraries' Law Repositories Caucus.

Faculty Promotions

  • Marah McLeod and Patrick Corrigan were promoted to full Professor with tenure.
  • Tang (Cindy) Tian was promoted to Associate Librarian in the Kresge Law Library.
  • Jeff Pojanowski (Biolchini Family Professor of Law), Paul Miller (Robert & Marion Short II Professor of Law), and Carter Snead (Charles E. Rice Professor of Law) were promoted earlier this year to University Chairs.
  • Sherif Gergis has been reappointed as Associate Professor of Law.
  • Gerard Bradley and Nell Newton were promoted to Professors Emeritus and Emerita.

  • This year, the Marketing Communications team has been fortunate to have two graduate student communications assistants working with us. Libbey Detcher (Saint Mary’s College) and Sarah Doerr (University of Southern Indiana) will both be graduating this Saturday from the Master in Nonprofit Administration Program in the Mendoza College of Business. Stop by Tuesday, May 14 from 2-3 in the 1334 Biolchini conference room for some desserts to express our gratitude.
