  • Last week, Sam Bray spoke at a Festschrift honoring Profesor Douglas Laycock at The University of Texas at Austin School of Law. He participated as a panelist on a discussion on remedies.
  • Roger Alford was quoted by Digiday in an article about the U.S. v. Google ad-tech antitrust trial.
  • Marcus Cole spoke on a panel of Indiana law school deans last week at Indiana Lawyer's Diversity in Law event, which was featured by The Indiana Lawyer.
  • Mark Hill recently published his new book, "Human Dignity, Religion, and the Law: Pluralism and Reasonable Accommodation of Religious Practices."
  • Lloyd Mayer's opinion piece, "The IRS and 'churches' that aren't really churches," was published by The Chronicle of Philanthropy.
  • This week, Jorge Barrera-Rojas will speak at the Education Law Symposium: Pierce v. Society of Sisters at 100, at the University of Dayton.
  • Fr. John Paul Kimes was appointed by the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors and Vulnerable Persons to a working study-group on the concept of vulnerability in canon law.
  • Gerard Bradley will speak at the Catholic Bar Association's 2024 conference, "Catholic lawyers: Uniting law and reason," in Louisville this week.
  • Diane Desierto co-authored an article with other editors of EJIL:Talk!: "Some blog statistics."
  • Last week, Derek Muller appeared on EWTN News Nightly and CBS News, where he spoke about recent reports from Special Counsel Jack Smith. On Bloomberg Podcasts, he discussed new lawsuits challenging election rules and processes.

  • Two ND Law LL.M. Human Rights students selected as prestigious Fulbright Scholars
  • Congratulations to ND Law alumnus Max Siegel ’86, ’92 J.D., attorney and CEO of USA Track and Field, for being recognized as one of the Indiana Lawyer 2024 Diversity in Law honorees. Dean G. Marcus Cole was one of the three Indiana law school deans who spoke on a panel at the event in Indianapolis.
